hello hello :)
I considered writing a "welcome back" post but I figured we should just jump right in! I've been working on this website for about a month now and I'm stoked to be finally sharing it with you all! Its much bolder now, full of colour and definitely more ME! The previous website was also just a normal blog but I wanted this one too feel a little more sophisticated – especially since I created the first one almost 5 years ago!
Of course we've all been home for a while now but since its warm and sunny in England now, the swimsuits have come out from hiding!!! I took full advantage of my studio set up last weekend and shot some of my fav new swimsuits (which were kindly gifted by Andrea Iyamah)!
Now I must admit, the first time that I put this suit on I wasn't convinced. I've been struggling a little bit with the changes going on with my body due to coronavirus and being forced to stay indoors. I definitely have been exercising outdoors, but overall I'm just not as active as I used to be (which, of course, is to be expected). But sometimes we just can't see reason in these moments. So I kept thinking to myself that my body just didn't look right in the swimsuit and I took it off – and didn't put it back on for another week.
This time I was in a much better headspace and chose to photograph the swimsuit in a way that I would feel completely comfortable (and next to some oranges)!
The classic high waisted black swimsuit of my dreams!! Perfect for snatching waists and elongating necks! I haven't got much to say about this one other than I'M OBSESSED.
If you know me, you'll know that I'm either in a high waisted two bikini or a one piece – never ever low waisted. I don't know what it is but I just feel so comfortable in a gorgeous one piece swimsuit. There's also something very special about being able to go to the beach and not worry about your bits coming out when you jump into the water ;)! This swimmie is super funky but also really relatable, which I appreciate soo much.
